Books have accompanied me throughout my life. I replaced the picture books of my childhood with Italian and French novels during my studies in Berlin, and laterfor books on architecture and design. I have also been professionally involved in bookmaking for many years as an author, publisher and editor-in-chief, most recently at Detail. It was my passion for books that finally brought me to castello books.

On 31 May, the German engineer, architect and inventor Frei Otto would have been 100 years old. The monograph ‘Frei Otto, 1925-2025: Building with Nature’, edited by Joaquín Medina Warmburg and Anna-Maria Meister, is being published by Prestel to mark the Pritzker Prize winner's milestone birthday.
