30 timber buildings from all over the world - presented with construction drawings on a scale of 1:20: The second volume in the series "Timber Buildings S, M, L" from Edition Detail will be published in July. The book documents recently completed examples of circular and climate positive structures.
Volume 2 is also bilingual (German/English) and presents a total of 30 exciting buildings that are regarded as beacons of hope for climate-neutral construction. As a golden solution to the climate crisis, timber constructions are currently more popular than ever in many countries: they store CO₂, reduce grey energy and use renewable, recyclable resources. Building with wood is essential to minimise the ecological footprint and achieve global climate targets.

Technical progress and design possibilities in timber construction are currently developing rapidly and without pause. Room modules, circular buildings, extensions and conversions of existing buildings as well as simple construction characterise current developments. In the second timber construction volume of Edition Detail, we once again present 30 international buildings in small, medium and large, which were realised between 2019 and 2024 - kindergartens, sports halls, museums and much more. Details on a scale of 1:20 document the creative and constructive diversity of solid, modular, skeleton, frame and hybrid buildings. The buildings presented combine local traditions with technical innovations, they show cost-effective solutions and pioneering planning achievements: visionary architecture with future potential.
