An architectural collective based in Nancy: studiolada is founded on values such as the common good, responsible use of resources, work for the public sector, collaborative dialogue, short supply chains and circularity. These principles shape a collective practice that is deeply rooted in its regional context and draws on its resources and dynamics.
Conceived and compiled by architect and university lecturer Mathias Rollot, Radically Local reflects the collective’s philosophy whilst showcasing the wide range of projects it has realised to date. The book presents an illustrated selection of thirty key projects, features four exclusive interviews with members of studiolada, and includes ten contributions from external experts and academics – thus offering a rich variety of perspectives on the collective’s practice and the ideas behind it.
