56 buildings that were built in South Tyrol between 2018 and 2024 were selected by an international jury to tell the recent architectural history of this region. In this book, they are summarised in different groups and presented with numerous photos, plans and drawings, many of which have never been published before. Descriptive texts and critical observations open up a dialogue, reveal hidden connections and stimulate new reflections. The resulting narrative invites readers to discover and understand architecture and its motivations.
New Architecture in South Tyrol 2018-2024 continues the series that has comprehensively documented the architectural development of South Tyrol since the year 2000. It is the building culture of a region that is often characterised by a forward-looking approach to traditional architectural approaches and makes it unmistakable.
