This large-format book offers insights into the recent restoration of the house in accordance with historic preservation standards. Archival materials and new photographs by Florian Holzherr juxtapose the building’s historical condition with its restored state. The carpentry, finishes, and spatial design are brought into focus. The essays by Guido Stegen and Thomas Föhl explore, among other things, the relationship between the house and the garden. This richly illustrated, large-format volume showcases the sophisticated and well-thought-out restoration of this architectural icon of early modernism.
